In preparation for the demand of EV automobiles showing exponential growth, Kumho Tire plans to secure EV tire design base technology and upgrade relevant design technologies through BM (Bench Marking) precision analysis for global EVs, upgrading relevant design technologies
We are expanding our low-wear & low-carbon tires with the launch of TA91 ev and HP71 ev, our products specialized for EVs in 2022. In addition, the eco-friendly products at Kumho Tire include VS31, VA31, and ES31. We will continue to spare no efforts in developing products contributing to the reduction of negative environmental impact as well as having superior quality.

Kumho Tire is carrying out various studies for the development of low-wear-low-carbon tires contributing to the reduction of fine dust and greenhouse gas emission.
With the LCA system, Kumho Tire quantitatively analyzes and evaluates the environmental effect consumed and exhausted in the life cycle to not only minimize the effect to the environment but also to proactively use the results to the development of environmentally friendly product.

Kumho Tire is continuously promoting development of eco-friendly compound technology applying regenerated or recycled materials as well as plant-based eco-friendly new materials in tire production.
Kumho Tire is expanding the use of sustainable materials based on ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification PLUS) certification, and in 2025, the Gokseong plant obtained ISCC PLUS certification, establishing a sustainable raw material management system aligned with international standards across the entire process from raw material sourcing to production.
Based on this, Kumho Tire continues to expand the development of products incorporating bio-based and recycled materials, and the Majesty9 TA91 reflects this direction, with certain raw materials managed under the ISCC PLUS certification system.
Kumho Tire’s (Majesty9 TA91) is linked to 47% bio-based and recycled raw materials. Within this, the ISCC PLUS-certified portion (at least 23%) is sourced and managed under the Mass Balance Chain of Custody system. The primary certified components utilized in this product include synthetic rubber, bio-based silica, resin, and cords. While the specific composition of each material may vary depending on supply conditions and application requirements, the allocation of ISCC PLUS-certified material is consistently maintained in accordance with ISCC guidelines.
* Chain of Custody (CoC) refers to a system that ensures the traceability and management of materials throughout the entire supply chain, from raw material sourcing to processing, distribution, and final product.
