Kumho Tires Co., Inc. donated tires worth of US$ 102,000 for the Philippine landslide 2006-02-23
Kumho Tires Co., Inc. (President & CEO, Sae-Chul Oh, Ph.D) donated truck tires and passenger vehicle tires
worth of US$ 102,000 for humanity¡¯s sake to Philippine, where a landslide recently occurred in the Leyte Island,
central Philippine, and caused tremendous casualties and loss of properties.
The company also has previously donated tires for rehabilitation, on Iran earthquake disaster.


Dr. Sae-Chul Oh, CEO of Kumho Tires Co., Inc. visited Philippine Embassy in Korea on 23rd afternoon, met new
ambassador Susan Castrence (65), delivered the letter of donation, and expressed ¡°with condolence to victims
and bereaved families of this accident, we hope the Philippines people to recover from this tragic nightmare
and to return to ordinary lives as soon as possible¡±.

The tires donated this time are mainly truck tires and passenger vehicle timers. The plan is to ship all of the
tires from Gwangyang distribution Center and to deliver locally in mid March.

A Kumho Tires personnel told, ¡°we donated the tires in the aspect of condolence to the Philippines victimized
by this tragedy¡±.
